What's buzz-worthy: The hobby's flagship release update will be here soon and it's one that celebrates this year's All-Star Game this year as well as offers up more of the same as well as some new touches.

The Basics (updated): The base set for this one will include 330 cards with each having nearly 20 parallels between all formats -- Gold Foil, Rainbow foil, Gold (/2,023), Green Foilboard (/499), Orange Foilboard (/299), Red Foilboard (/199), Vintage Stock (/99), Independence Day (/76), Black (/72 Hobby/HTA only), Mother's Day Pink (/50), Father's Day Powder Blue (/50), Memorial Day Camo (/25), Clear (/10) and 1/1 Platinum along with printing plates. ... The "limited short-printed" Golden Mirror Image variations with a new image and "golden stock" for all cards are back, too.

Among insert sets in this one will be Action Stars, Time-spanning Tandems, Laid Out!, 2023 All-Star Game and Black Gold for starters.  Each of these will have Blue, Black (/299), Gold (/75), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum parallels with some having autographed parallels (/10 max). Joining them will be more 1988 Topps inserts with Blue (announced /600), Black (/299), Gold (/75), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum cards as well as new 1/1 Wood parallels. Also back will be All Aces and another batch of the Heavy Lumber cards (announced /500) that are rare finds on wood stock along with AKA cards that celebrate nicknames. For box-toppers there will be oversized 1988 Topps Big cards with Gold (/50), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum versions as well as autos (/10 max). Jumbo boxes will include two silver packs while hobby boxes will include one silver pack.

For autographed cards, there will be Reverence patches (/10) with Red (/5) and 1/1 Platinums as well as First Stitch autographed patches (/5) with 1/1 Platinums. There also will be Major League Material Auto Cards (/50 max), All-Star Stitch autos (/25 max) and duals (/25 max) as well as jumbo patches (/10 max). They will have Red (/10 max) and 1/1 Gold parallels. Joining them will be Baseball Stars autos with Black (/199), Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum autos as well as a dual version (/5 max) and then throwback 1988 Topps autos with the same parallels and a selection of 1/1 cut autos for past MLB stars.

For unsigned Relics, there will be First Stitch patches (/50 max) with Gold (/10) and 1/1 letters, Major League Materials, All-Star Stitches as well as duals and triples, All-Star jumbo patches and Own The Name 1/1 Relics. There also will be Commemorative MVP and World Series trophy medallions (announced /250) cards as manufactured Relics. The MVP cards will have Black (/299), Gold (/75), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum parallels as well as autos (/10 max), while the Series cards will have Gold (/75), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum parallels and some autos.
