What's buzz-worthy: A new year of NBA cardboard arrives with Prizms apparently in play (above) as well as a number of new inclusions that add to the flagship-style release that showcases rookies in their new uniforms.

The Basics: There will be 24 insert cards per box in this one just like last year. ... The set size was not revealed in advance, but there will be 50 rookies and the set's parallels will include Red Backs, Texture, Silver (/199), Orange (/149), Green (/99), Dragon year (/75), Artist Proof (/25), Artist Proof Gold (/10) and 1/1 Black Artist Proofs for starters. Gold Vinyl Premium Prizms also were teased. ... The hits here will include Art Signatures (on-card autos), Hoops Ink, Rookie Ink, Hot Signatures and Hot Signatures Rookies with Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum parallels. ... New hobby-only inserts will include Nobility, Funkadelic, Dreamcatchers, Presentations and Championship Moments. Gold (/10) parallels will be hobby-only finds there. ... Boxes will carry an increased suggested retail price of $135.

Update (Feb. 11): There will be hobby blasters for this one with 11 inserts/parallels per six-pack box (20 boxes per case) with these being the exclusive home of Blue Scope (/99), Red Scope (/49) and Green Scope (/8) parallels as well as Premium parallels such as Blue Scope (/99) and Green Scope (/25). Ink will be possible here -- just not every box -- and inserts also will include Pure Players, Skyview, Arriving Now, Rookie Greetings and Frequent Flyers with holo parallels in play. Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $25.
