What's buzz-worthy: Mosaic arrives with a different packaging format -- three 15-card packs per hobby box -- but with double the ink and all the flash collectors have come to expect with this brand.

Base parallels were not broken down in advance in full for the base set, but among them will be some new looks along with the basics -- Mosaic Honeycomb, Orange (/249), Bronze (/75), Purple Snakeskin (/24), Tessellation (/15) and Gold Snakeskin (/8) will be in there for starters. ... Subsets in the base set will include NBA Debut, City Edition and NBA Greats, while inserts will include Heat Check, Storm Chasers, NBA Cup, Overdrive and Razzle Dazzle as well as "SSP" Stained Glass, Micro Mosaic and Color Blast cards. ... Among the auto sets here will be Mosaic veterans, Mosaic rookies, Pictographs, Collage and Showtime Signatures. Joining them will be new Rookie Season Ticket, Rookie Variation Season Ticket, Veteran Ticket, rookie jersey autos (with Logoman cards in that mix) and Colorgraphs. ... Fast Break details: There will be Fast Break boxes for this one with one autograph, 11 Prizms, one rookie variation and five inserts per 12-pack box (20 boxes per case). Among parallels will be Fast Break Red (/99), Blue Camo (/35), Neon Green (/5) and Gold Black (/3) for starters, while the rookie variations will have Purple (/50), Pink (/20), Gold (/10) and 1/1 Black parallels. The Bank Shot, Stare Masters, Notoriety, Introductions and Montage inserts will have Red (/99), Pink (/20) and Gold Black (/3) parallels. ... Autos will have a rookies set and a veterans set with a Fast Break set also in play. Teased colors there include Black, Gold and Green (/5). ...
