What: 2024-25 Panini Obsidian basketball cards

What's buzz-worthy: Obsidian arrives on the NBA hardwood for the seventh time with rookies and plenty more to be found as part of this colorful release.

The Basics: There will be three inserts per box along with one base card and the hits. ... Among the autographed sets will be Rookie Jerseys, Rookie Jersey Ink, Matrix Material, Magmatic, Galaxy Ink, Twilight, Rookie Eruption, Volcanic and new Scorched cards. ... Inserts in this one will include Equinox, Orbital, Hotspot, Supernova and new Atomic Initials cards. Flood cards will return with a few new looks in the mix -- Etch Pink Flood (/49), Electric Etch Blue Flood (/30), Electric Etch Caldera and Electric Etch Hot Springs (/15) -- while "SSP" inserts will include Vitreous, Volcanix and Black Color Blast. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $250.
