What's buzz-worthy: A new season of Prizm NBA drops with with some new looks and textures as well as a new crop of stars as it takes a colorful look at the league today as well as some stars from the past.

The Basics: Boxes will contain 22 Prizms and 10 inserts atop the two autos just like last year, while the base set size and parallels were not detailed in full but some colors are teased among the mocks. New parallels will be Skewed (/249) and Basketball (/225). ... Ink will include Signatures, Rookie Signatures, Sensational Signatures and new Prizmatrix cards. ... Among the insert sets will be Fireworks, Luck of the Lottery, Kaleidoscpic, Fractal and new Talismen cards. An "SSP" find will be Prizmania and a new one will be Groovy. ... Inserts will have parallels that include Silver, Blue Ice (/125), Orange (/49), Mojo (/25), Gold (/10) and 1/1 Black. ... Each 12-card pack will carry an increased suggested retail price of $47.92 ($575 per box).

Update (Dec. 6): There also will be Fast Break boxes (Feb. 14) for this one with one autograph per 10-pack box ($325 suggested retail price; 20 boxes per case). Each one will also include 12 Prizms, six inserts and one rookie variation just like last year. Fast Break parallels include Fast Break standard Prizms as well as Blue (/150), Orange (/125), Red (/100), Purple (/75), Pink (/50), Bronze (/20) and Neon Green (/5). Fast Break Autographs and Fast Break Rookie Autographs will carry their own unique design atop the texture applied to all cards here and parallels will include at least Red, Black and Gold versions. Rookie variations will have at least Bronze (/20) and Neon Green (/5) parallels.

Update (March 6): There also will be hobby blaster and hobby mega boxes for this one with some exclusive inclusions atop the retail-only finds. A blaster will include six packs of four cards (20 boxes per case) and have nine inserts -- three Green Wave and then six others -- while mega boxes will have six 10-card packs (20 per case) with 20 inserts. Those will include four Silver Prizms, 10 Green Ice and then six other inserts. These also will have "SSP" inserts in the Sublime and Manga sets. Standard inserts here will include Instant Impact, Emergent, Deep Space, Dominance and Global Reach. Hits, which won't be found every box, will include Penmanship and Rookie Penmanship autos.
