What's buzz-worthy: Phoenix arrives for its ninth NFL campaign with another colorful and meaty base set, plenty of inserts and more to chase.

The Basics: Beyond the hits, which will include one rookie jersey auto per box, there will be eight serial-numbered parallels, four more parallels, 12 Rookie Cards and six other insert cars in every box. The "robust" base set's size was not disclosed in advance this year, nor was the "vast and vibrant parallel roster," but some of the finds will include Silver, Red, Phoenix, Wave and Blue Fade. ... Among the hits will be rookie autograph jerseys, rookie autos, Franchise Future jerseys, Phenomonal Duo jersey autos, Rising Star jersey autos and a Rookie Phenom auto jersey set. ... Among the inserts will be Contours as well as some "SSP stunners" -- Phoenician, Color Blast and Gridiron Crowns. ... These boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $275.

Update: There also will 10-pack H2 boxes for this release (20 boxes per case, $115 per box SRP) with 80 cards inside. They'll include one auto on exclusive H2 stock, one Rookie Card, two H2 base cards, three serial-numbered H2 parallels and one other H2 insert. H2-exclusive parallels will include Pandora, Pulsar, Gold Pandora, Bronze Fade and Bronze parallels noted for inserts (seen on Contours in gallery) that also will include Rookie Rising and Treasured Tandems as well as Bronze parallels for the hits. Hits will include dual rookie autograph jersey cards and Rising Rookie auto jerseys as well as exclusive Bronze Rookie Silhouettes and Rookie Phenoms jersey autos.
