The Basics: The base set expands to 300 cards for this one -- up from 220 last year -- with more than a dozen announced insert sets (see full checklist above). The lineup will include 20 Radiating Rookies, 20 1989 Topps homages, 20 1989 Topps Chrome Layer Variations, 2o Future Stars, 15 Ultra Violet All-Stars, 10 Summertime In The Park cards, 25 Strokes, 25 Chrome All-Etch, 20 All-Etch Rookie Rush, 34 Expose, 15 Fanatical, 15 Let's Go! cards, 50 Youthquake, a selection of MVP buybacks and 15 Helix cards. Parallels were not yet revealed but there will be 15 Award Winners variation cards in play among the basics.

For inked cards, there will be rookie autos (a meaty lineup), legend autos, dual autos, Seamhead Signatures (MLB media personalities), 1989 autos, Radiating Rookies, Ultraviolet All-Stars, Future Stars, Chrome All-Etch, On The Spot Die-cuts and Ronald Acuña Jr. MVP buyback ink. ... There also will be Authentics Relics and Authentics Relics autos. ... Just some of the signers across all sets will be Elly De La Cruz, Jackson Chourio, Jasson Dominguez, Jackson Holliday, Shōta Imanaga, Wyatt Langford, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Albert Pujol, Bo Jackson, Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, George Brett, Ichiro Suzuki, Hideki Matsui, Johnny Bench, Ken Griffey Jr., Mark McGwire, Nolan Ryan, Sandy Koufax, Sammy Sosa, Julio Rodriguez and Mike Trout for starters. ... Boxes opened at $189.99 and $389.99 via Topps.
