What's buzz-worthy: MLS cardboard gets Chromed for a fourth season with a 200-card base set, more ink in every box vs. last year and plenty of new stars and flash.

The Basics: The base set will be 200 cards with 25 of those being the Pitch Prodigies subset and 10 being MLS Flashbacks. Each of them will have a large rainbow of Refractor parallels -- standard, Aqua Lava, Neon Green Lava, Gold Lava, Rose Gold (/250), Purple (/199), Blue (/150), Neon Green (/99), Gold (/50, Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors. ... Among the inserts will be image variations as well as The Brave, Team Tags, Memory Makers, American Ink and Big City Strikers, which also will have Skylight variations, found one per case. Base variations will have Gold, Orange, Red and Supers for parallels and that same rainbow will apply for Team Tags. The Brave will have those as well as a Green version -- all with same volumes as standard parallels. Joining them will be Topps 1964, "super limited" Let's Go! cards as well as "ultra limited" Topps Chrome Layers. All will have parallel rainbows of varying sizes. ... For hits, there will be four types of autographs to be found -- Chrome, Chrome Duals, MLS Flashback and 1/1 MLS Debut patch autos. The parallel rainbow for standard ink will be Neon Green (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Supers. Duals will only have Orange, Red Wave and Supers at same volumes, while Flashbacks will drop the Greens.
