What's buzz-worthy: Topps returns to the Octagon after three years away with its heavyweight brand, Chrome, opening the new deal -- a release that's packed with insert sets, plenty of color and some long-odds chases, too.

The Basics: The full details were not revealed in advance but the odds are here (click above for everything) with this one really heavy on inserts. Among the insert sets are 1954 Topps, AKA, All The Glory, Allen & Ginter, Brick By Brick, Countdown, Embedded, Energized, Fired Up, Fists Of Fury, Generation Now, Hidden Gems, International Flair, Kings & Queens, Let's Go, Pathblazers, Representing, Spitting Venom, SuperGiant, Tale Of The Tape, UFC Fight Night and Youthquake. Parallels will be in play on almost everything including the base set (size not revealed) while autographed sets will include Chrome Rookies, Chrome Veterans, Future Stars, Hall of Fame, Main Event, Marks Of Champions, Octagon Legends and UFC Signatures. You can see all serial-numbering on the odds sheet.

Update: Boxes opened at $219.99 and cases at $2,639.88 for pre-order via Topps. A typical hobby box will include 24 Refractors, 20 parallels, four serial-numbered parallels and 20 more insert cards. ... The base set will include 200 cards for this one. ... There will be five sets that are rarer case-level finds with Spitting Venom on in 1,440 packs for example, while Energized cards will be one in 288. ... Youthquake cards also will have autographs limited to only 10 copies with no parallels noted.
