The Basics: The base set for this one will include 350 cards with a similar lineup to the first series with this release including a new batch of Golden Mirror Image Variations among them. Boxes opened at $84.99 and $179.99 via Topps.

Update (May 16): Parallels will include, for starters, Gold foil, Rainbow, Yellow, Gold (/2,024), Blue foil (/999), Purple foil (/799), Green foil (/499), Aqua foil (/399), Orange foil (/299), Red foil (/199), Vintage stock (/99), Independence Day (/76), Black (/73), Blue (/50), Pink (/50), Camo (/25), Clear (/10 for 100 players only) and 1/1 Platinum, as well as printing plates. There also will be more photo variations where the border is removed and the a team color variation -- one per case -- along with the new Golden Mirror cards. ... Silver Chrome packs also will be back with one per hobby box and two per jumbo as box-toppers. Autographs and parallels will be found in there, too.

Among the inserts will be City to City, Around the Horn, Covering the Field, Fantasy Favorites, 2023 First Pitch/Play Ball and a 40/70 SP card. The first four will have parallels -- Blue, Black (/299), Gold (/50), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum. The Ronald Acuña Jr. 40/70 set will only have Gold, Red and Platinum versions. ... The 1989 inserts will be back, too, with standouts and then an All-Star version with the same parallel lineup, while other inserts will include Significant Statistics, the rare Heavy Lumber cards, Social Media Follow Back redemptions, Home Field Advantage, Legendary Home Field Advantage, "SSP" Platinum Performers and 1/1 sketch cards.

For inked hits, there will be Baseball Stars, Baseball Stars duals (/10 max) and Baseball Stars Triples (/5) for starters. The single-autos will have Black (/99), Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum versions. The others will only have a 1/1 parallel. There also will be 1989 autos with Black (/199), Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum versions along with an All-Star version with parallels there being Black (/50), Gold (/25), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum. ... Joining them will be 40/70 autos (/10) with Red (/5) and 1/1 Platinum as well as First Pitch/Play Ball autos (/99) with Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum parallels in play. There also will be a Dynamic Dual auto (/10) with only the 1/1 and then Signature Tunes dual autos (/25) and City to City autos (/99) with Gold, Red and Platinum versions. There also will be 1/1 cut autos in play.

Relics will again include Major League Materials (Black, Gold, Red, Platinum parallels) as well as City Connect Swatch Collection (same parallels), 1989 and 1989 All-Stars, too, with the same lineup. There will be 1/1 In The Name Relics, too, as has been standard for years. ... For manufactured Relics, there will be 2023 Silver Slugger Award Winners with parallels -- Black (/299), Gold (/75), Red (/10), 1/1 Platinum and then autographed versions for some players (/25 max).
