What's buzz-worthy: Elite arrives for a new NFL season with its familiar foilboard approach, plenty of parallels and some new looks and inclusions.

The Basics: Boxes will include at least three Rookie Cards, six parallels and 11 other insert cards with the hits and base just like previous years. ... There will be 200 cards in the base set for this one with 100 veterans and then 100 Rookie Cards atop that. ... Among the hits will be autos in the Pen Pals sets (singles, duals, triples and quads with on-card autos) as well as Team Lineage, Etched In Time, Back To The Future, Turn Of The Century and Passing The Torch (singles and duals), while memorabilia cards will include Throwback Threads (singles and duals) and Influential Jerseys for starters. ... Among the inserts will be 2007 Elite, Spellbound and "case-chase" First Class cards. ... Boxes once again carry a suggested retail price of $225 ($11.25 per pack).
