What's buzz-worthy: Historic Autographs re-imagines iconic stars and cards from the past with new retro-styled modern ways with a checklist that's "only the best of the best."

The Basics: There will be 110 cards in the set here with each having foiled cards -- Swirl or Diamond -- in eight tiers as part of a release that will include just 330 cases made. This one "is based on the players that appear in the most popular sets from the T206 set through the Play Ball series," according to the company. The eight tiers will all have announced volumes with the easiest being 800 copies per card down to just 25 for the rarest version (see breakdown in gallery below). Also in the mix will be Cracked Ice (/4), 1/1 printing plates, 1/1 parallels and Stained Glass (/15) cards. Hits will include buybacks, cut autos and handwriting samples in both small and large varieties -- odds on all in gallery -- with some of the signers including Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Chief Bender, Hank Greenberg, Rogers Hornsby, Sam Crawford, Mel Ott and Branch Rickey among others. There will be some kind of insert or hit in every box. You can see the full inclusions list linked above.
