What's buzz-worthy: A new year of Vivid baseball includes base cards in the mix -- every one of them a 1/1 creation -- alongside the autographs that are a majority of what's found in both formats for this release.

The Basics: Colors and patterns will be in play here as parallels (no details in advance, though) with multi-auto cards found four or fives times per case. Among the basic cards -- again all 1/1s -- will be Vivid, Coming Soon To A Stadium Near You and Bursting With Talent. Cases also will include four or five autos from the following group -- Charlie Condon, Josue De Paula, Kevin McGonigle, Konnor Griffin, Leo De Vries, Roch Cholowsky, Travis Bazzana, Ken Griffey Jr., Carl Yastrzemski, Nolan Ryan and Lionel Messi ... so it's not solely baseball ink.

Among the auto sets will be Vivid, Thermodynamic, In Glorious Technicolor, Vivid Clear, Vivid Memories, Vivid Monochrome, Triple Exposure, Colorful Combos, Colorful Quads, Neon and Pure Imagination. The last two are "tri-layer acetate" cards, while Monochrome will be hobby-only, while Clear is only in jumbo boxes.

The autograph lineup includes past, present and even future stars here on NIL deals, including UCLA's Cholowsky who is among those likely to be the No. 1 pick in next year's MLB Draft. Other signers include Charlie Sheen, Frank Thomas, Greg Maddux, Jim Thome, Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire, Wade Boggs, Ethan Salas, Bobby Witt Jr., Hideki Matsui, Ryne Sandberg, Jesus Made, Reggie Jackson and Sebastian Walcott.

Just 435 cases will be made for each format (8,700 boxes) and, according to Leaf, the top five prospects in baseball (per MLB.com) have approximately 5,300 autographs in this product. That's roughly six cards per case, though multi-player auto cards likely drop that average in some instances.
