What's buzz-worthy: Pieces of the Past turns its attention to "the most notorious villains the world has ever seen" in a release that keeps with the ongoing waves of focused series within an overall set.

The Basics: Among those in this one are Julius Caesar, Al Capone, Genghis Khan, John Dillinger, Billy The Kid,, King Nebuchadnezzar, Nero, Alexander The Great, Attila The Hun, Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, Sir Francis Drake, Jesse James, Bonnie & Clyde, Marcus Brutus, Zheng Yi Sao and Hannibal for starters. Among the card types/memorabilia pieces in this one will be handwriting samples, cut autos, western/cowboy items, shipwreck items, maps, ship manufests and more. ... Base cards will be found in Rainbow, Red Rainbow (/50) and Gold Rainbow (/10) while Relics will have Rainbow and 1/1 Cracked Ice versions. All memorabilia pieces will be embedded into the cards for this one. ... Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $59.95.
