What's buzz-worthy: Topps' mission to Chrome the world reaches the realm of the square yellow sponge living in a pineapple in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean at some point soon.

The Basics: The full details are still to come but this 25th anniversary release will include voice actor autographs (Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke known so far) and Doodlebob sketch cards in both formats. Blasters will be the home to two Kelp Green Refractors, while hobby boxes promise a chase for Bikini Bottom VIPs cards among other inclusions. Parallels will be in play for this one -- a few types and colors as seen in the gallery, including a nod to Nosferatu -- but are not yet detailed in full.

Update (Sept. 2): The checklist and odds have been added at the links above. The base set will be 200 cards. Inserts will include Kelp Reviews, Song Songs, Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy, 25th Anniversary, Masterful Memes, Squidwards Gallery, Bold & Brash (/25), SB 129 (/10), Patty Hype (1/1s), Gross Out, Nautical Nonsense, Shadowbox (/20), SpongeBob's Wallet (/99) and Bikini Bottom VIPs (plus Duals and Triples sets)

There will be solo autos, dual autos and triple autos as well as sketch cards and Doodlebob sketch cards as previously mentioned with those being done by show creators C.H. Greenblatt, Paul Tibbit and others. Among the other signers will be Amy Sedaris, Brian Doyle-Murray, Patton Oswalt, Johnny Knoxville and Mark Hamill for starters. Autographs will start at one in 37 packs for hobby boxes.  ... There also will be a Sapphire Edition for this release.

Update (Sept. 4): Full parallel info has been added. Rare inserts such as the Gallery and VIPs cards will only have Red (/5) and Supers.
