First Buzz: SportKings Volume 3 sports cards

What: SportKings Volume 3 sports cards

What's buzz-worthy: SportKings takes the field for a third time from SAGE for a few crop of retro-styled cardboard that showcases legends, current stars from perhaps non-traditional realms and a whole lot of chase in its hobby format.

The Basics: Just like last time, each hobby box of this one will three hits as noted above with two green-backed base cards (/100), one green-backed mini (/50) and then one bonus card from the lineup below:

-- Autograph
-- Memorabilia
-- Autographed memorabilia card
-- Legends memorabilia card
-- Gary Kezele 1/1 Sketch card
-- 1/1 Grand Patch
-- Red Back 1/1 base or mini card
-- Sportkings Icons cut autos featuring Jackie Robinson, Carl Hubbell and others.
-- Original art from Gary Kezele and Mike James

Among the signers for this one will be "Dr. J" Julius Erving, Brett Favre, Chris Bosh, Greg Maddux, Richard Petty, Mike Piazza, Jessica Long, Mario Andretti, Adam Scherr, Gaylord Perry, Gabby Douglas, Matt Kenseth, Jim McMahon, Jason Taylor and Phil Simms for starters. ... Hobby boxes will be the home of parallels for hits as well as 1/1 red-back/red-background base and mini parallels. ... Set numbering will pick up with card No. 87 where the past set finished.
