First Buzz: SportKings Volume 5 sports cards (updated)

What: SportKings Volume 5 sports cards

Box basics: Two autographs, one memorabilia card and possibly one other hit per seven-card hobby box (12 boxes per case)

What's buzz-worthy: SportKings takes the field for a fifth time from SAGE with the familiar look and format for past editions and with some legendary autos among the possibilities this time.

The Basics: Just like last time, each hobby box of this one will three hits as noted above with two green-backed base cards (/100), one green-backed mini (/50) and then one bonus card from the lineup below:

-- autograph
-- 1/1 memorabilia card
-- 1/1 autographed memorabilia card
-- 1/1 sketch card
-- 1/1 Jared Kelley sketch card
-- 1/1 "Grand Patch"
-- 1/1 "original rendering" (likely card artwork)
-- Red Back 1/1 base or mini card
-- Sportkings Icons cut autos

Card numbering will pick up with card No. 154 where the past volume finished and also in play will be 1/1 red back/background cards for each of them beyond the other previously mentioned colors. ... Among signers teased for this one include Barry Sanders, Billy Sims, Chris Mullin, Tom Glavine, Hulk Hogan, Bill Walton, Dominique Wilkins, Ricky Williams, Wade Boggs, Alan Trammell, Renaldo Nehemiah and Nastia Liukin for starters.

Update: There also will be blaster boxes for this one with a different approach than past years. This time each box will include one 35-card retail version of the base set as well as one bonus pack. Those will include five mini parallels, two base parallel and one premium card that can include game-used, autos, auto-mem or 1/1 cards that can include sketch card, painted cards or cut autos. There also will be randomly inserted "alternative background" exchange cards good for a rarer version of the basic set.
