First Buzz: 'Star Trek: Discovery' Season 3 trading cards

What's buzz-worthy: The newest Trek series hits cardboard for the third time with this release including three hits per box and, on the case level, four inscription autos and two auto-mem cards.

The Basics: Among the signed cards will be inscription cards, dual-signed cards, full-bleed design cards and auto-Relic cards for starters. (Initial signers list below.) Other possible hits here? Sketch cards -- and artists will include work from Bill Crabb,
Jason Davies, Louise Draper, Javier Gonzalez, Charles Hall, Chris Meeks, Jim Faustino and Huy Truong for starters. ... The base set will include 78 cards (six cards for each episode). ... For inserts, there will be eight Character cards, 14 Storyboard Art cards, nine 32nd Century Technology cards, eight Kelpien-Ba’ul die-cut/fold-out book cards (with eight more of those in an English version of the set), four Opening Credits Artwork Expansion cards, 27 Costume Design cards, and 27 Costume Relic cards. There also will be two metal case-topper cards as well as dual-auto cards as incentives for six-case and nine-case buyers. An Archive Box will be a bonus for those buying 18 cases at a time. As always, there also will be a binder with a promo card.
