FOX series "Pitch" follows fictional first woman to pitch in MLB

Ginny Baker does not exist, but the big-league world that she lives in does.

We'll get the shot to watch her story unfold in Pitch, a forthcoming series from FOX created in conjunction with MLB that's dubbed "A true story on the verge ... of happening."

Kylie Bunbury is the lead as a pitcher for the San Diego Padres, while other cast members include Dan Lauria, Ali Larter and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. It is set to debut this fall.

Since it's being created in conjunction with MLB, could we see officially licensed trading cards used as promotion for the television series? We'll have to wait and see.
