Gallery: 2016 Topps Stadium Club baseball cards (updated)

2016-topps-stadium-club-gallery-1SC-trout One of the biggest fundamental elements of baseball cards is found here -- strong photos -- and "here" is 2016 Topps Stadium Club, which officially arrives on Friday.

This one will include two autographs in every 16-pack hobby box as well as as a parallel in every pack. There will be plenty to be found with a meaty 300-card base set that's jam-packed with memorable and non-traditional images.

2016-topps-stadium-club-gallery-1SC-perez This one has begun to appear on eBay due to retail breaks and it's sure to include plenty of fun that goes beyond the autographs and other inserts that we've come to expect since its return a couple of years ago.

Among the notable signers in this one are Addison Russell, Buster Posey, Carlos Correa, Clayton Kershaw, Cal Ripken Jr., Corey Seager, Ichiro Suzuki, Kris Bryant, Ken Griffey Jr., Kenta Maeda, Mark McGwire, Mike Trout, Nomar Mazara, Sandy Koufax, Trevor Story, Bryce Harper, Yu Darvish and Mike Piazza.

You won't find many of those autographs in our gallery below just yet -- just a selection of basic cards that should get you interested if you're a collector who appreciates the simple things.

You know, the fundamentals.

[…] What’s Buzz-worthy: Talk about night and day compared to our blaster box Buzz Break. This box was a home run with an impressive selection of base cards that truly offer a look at the non-traditional visuals found in this brand as well as with who we found on ink (though via a redemption) and on the inserts. This box over-delivered with an Orange parallel, a photo variation and an Illuminator — all things much tougher finds than in just one box. The Orange is 1:48, the variation 1:123 and the Illuminator 1:256. This brand is one that’s affordable, delivers on-card ink (though big names are tougher pulls) and has a flashy and decent-sized base set with a number of parallels that aren’t overbearing. This one is a fun rip with good potential if you get lucky and this box showed glimpses of how that can happen.
