Gallery: Topps Pro Debut contest winners' baseball cards

If you rip into boxes of 2018 Topps Pro Debut baseball cards at the end of the month, you might find a member of the Fresno Grizzlies on a card that has a little more flavor to it.

It's not just because of that tasty Fresno Tacos uniform -- it's an annual promo night for the team that shows you some of Minor League Baseball's flavor -- it's because John Springstube was the winner of Topps' annual Make Your Pro Debut contest that has let collectors get as close to the game as is possible.

How close? They get pretty much everything except an at-bat.

Springstube is the sixth winner of the contest to make his way onto cardboard since Tim Kane did it first back in 2013. Besides signing a one-day deal with the team and getting everything that comes with it they each appear on their own Topps MiLB cards. All of the winners have appeared on a Pro Debut card save for Alan Strout who had a Heritage-style card in 2014.

Info for this year's contest is likely to arrive in not-yet-announced 2018 Topps Heritage Minor League later this year, while Pro Debut drops on May 30. Historically, these cards are short-printed chase cards not found in every box -- and the first winner's card is rare enough that it's a pricey find on eBay.
