The Kids are coming to HBO Max.

Danny McBride -- you know, Kenny Powers -- and his Rough House Pictures production company are bringing an animated Garbage Pail Kids series to the network at some point soon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project arrives in part due to Rough House's David Gordon Green being a GPK fan, and, according to the report, the "series will be family-friendly and appeal to audiences of all ages."

The Kids, which arrived on cardboard as a Topps creation back in 1985 did have an animated series back in 1987 (it didn't make airwaves in this country) as well as a movie in 1987 that grossed just $1.5 million off its $1 million budget. So, basically it (Adam) bombed -- though the television and movies landscape of today is far different than it was back then.

Joining McBride and Green for the writing team will be Josh Bycel. They will be executive producers along with Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen and Brandon James, according to THR.

While the original GPK stickers had more than a dozen series during its original 1980s run, Topps has bought them all back and created plenty more parodies of pop culture in all those years since -- you can see some of them here.
