Ichiro Suzuki's return to Seattle gets its Topps Now moment

Shohei Ohtani won't be the only West Coast player from Japan watched closely in MLB this season -- but for different reasons.

Ichiro Suzuki officially re-joined the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday and today Topps Now has the first baseball card to commemorate it.

Like other standard cards, this one will be printed to order after its 24-hour window closes, meaning if 10,000 cards or 200 cards are ordered that's how many will be printed. The cards are only initially available via Topps.com with a starting price of $9.99 and bulk discounts available for purchases as high as 20 copies for $79.99.

Suzuki, 44, made his debut with the Mariners at age 27 back in 2001, hitting .350 to win the American League batting title, the Rookie of the Year and the MVP award. He spent 12 seasons in Seattle before moving to the New York Yankees in 2012 and spending the last three seasons with the Miami Marlins. He's got 3,080 hits for his MLB career and more hits than career hits leader Pete Rose between MLB and Japan.
