Jeffrey Earnhardt's Ford will pay tribute to legendary grandfather

Jeffrey-Earnhardt When Jeffrey Earnhardt hits the track at Darlington in September, he'll be driving the No. 32 ford with a paint scheme that long-time Earnhardt fans should recognize.

Dale Earnhardt fans, that is.

The paint scheme is reminiscent of the ride that his grandfather drove back in 1981 and it will be on the track for the Darlington 500. Jeffrey Earnhardt is the son of Kerry Earnhardt and nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Although he's had limited success this season -- the 27-year-old's best finish is 32nd at Bristol -- Lionel Racing will produce three diecast replicas of the car. One is a 1:64 scale (suggested retail price of $7.99), a 1:24 ARC version ($69.99) and a 1:24 Elite that will come autographed ($104.95).
