Leaf Trading Cards reveals promo card plans for The National

Leaf Trading Cards will have three promotional sets up for grabs at this year's National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago as well as a promo card set for VIP attendees.

First up will be a 1992 Leaf Metal set that will be in packs. To receive a pack at the company's booth, one must open a box of 2019 Leaf In The Game-used Sports or 2019 Leaf Pop Century. These cards will be paralleled with a few colors and include the likes of Ken Griffey Jr., Kyler Murray, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Mike Tyson, Barry Sanders, Hulk Hogan, Stephen Curry, Ichiro Suzuki, Lionel Messi, Daisy Ridley, Harrison Ford, Larry Bird, Conor McGregor and plenty more.

For case-openers, there are those packs above (one pack for every box) and then a one-card pack that includes an autographed card. These will be 1/1 creations with various colors and a lineup that includes Suzuki, Antetokounmpo, Messi, Gordie Howe, Emmitt Smith, Pele, Murray, McGregor, Griffey and more. Eligible cases are, again, In The Game-used Sports and Pop Century.

For fans of Leaf's U.S. Army All-American Bowl products will have a bonus box offer good only at the show -- and only 50 will be available. Someone who opens a hobby or jumbo case of 2019 Leaf Metal All-American Bowl football cards at the company's booth will receive a bonus box that includes 12 cards limited to no more than two copies. Among them will be four 1/1 Metal Wave Proof autos, two 1/1 printing plate autos and six blank-backed Selection Tour autos limited to only two copies.

Finally, Leaf will have a four-card promo set in VIP bags this year with Harrison Ford, Kyler Murray, Stephen Curry and Wander Franco making up that set. Ticket info can be found here.

Update (July 18): Leaf also will have some show-exclusive releases up for grabs at the show. There will be 2019 Leaf Metal Rookie Sets with Prismatic and Wave sets with matching serial-numbers in the mix. There also will be 2019 Leaf Football 1/1 Proof boxes with two slabbed and signed cards per box. Each will be limited in availability at the show.

This year's NSCC is the 40th edition of the annual show and it's set for the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., July 31-Aug. 4.
