Mookie Betts keeps on homering, homering, homering

The last time we checked in on this young Red Sox slugger was when he had two three-homer games in one season. Now? After Wednesday's action, he's gone yard three times in the same game four times in his career and he's tied for the overall MLB lead this season with 11 ... as a lead-off hitter.

He's Mookie Betts and he now owns the team record for triple-homer games that he had shared with the Hall of Famer. According to MLB, he has 11 multi-homer games since 2016, which is tied with Manny Machado for second in MLB over that period and only Giancarlo Stanton has more with 14.

Betts appears on more than 2,500 different baseball cards so far in his young career with nearly 200 of those being certified autographs -- that's a lot more cardboard in general since we last looked at him (nearly tripled his cardboard total) but his autograph volume hasn't increased dramatically at all. His first autographs can be found in 2013 Panini Prizm Perennial Draft Picks, but his first Bowman Chrome autograph that arrived in 2014 is the one that many are chasing the hardest.

One that also has a lot of interest -- from the retro-minded collectors -- is his Rookie Card from 2014 Topps Heritage High Number and he also has an autograph that's possible with one signed card in every set. Betts has just seven Rookie Cards found in 2014 brands -- Bowman Sterling, Panini Classics, National Treasures, Stadium Club, Topps Heritage High Number and Topps Update.

Wax from that year isn't all that tough to find, either, helping give fans options for collecting a young star for one of MLB's most-historic and heavily watched franchises.
