Next Twin Peaks set offers second shot at key ink & new faces

The visuals for this one are still a bit of a mystery, but, then again, that's something the cult classic TV franchise is known for.

It's Twin Peaks and Rittenhouse Archives has a second series of trading cards on the way soon with a new shot at key names from the original chapters of the franchise as well as some new ink from the newest series.

The set's formal name is 2019 Twin Peaks Archives and it is planned to arrive on Oct. 23 with new autographs from stars like Kyle MacLachlan who were in the previous hit release from Rittenhouse and first autos for the series from stars such as Billy Zane and Eric Da Re. They aren't alone, either, in this one with a number of signers already revealed by the company.

Among the signers you might know but from elsewhere in the upcoming Twin Peaks set are Robert Forster (Jackie Brown) and David Koechner (Anchorman, The Office, Waiting ... ) -- and they aren't alone.

This time around there will be single autos, inscription autos and dual autos in the mix with a full lineup of what's been teased listed below. Current eBay asking prices for some of the rarer finds in the first series range as high as $499.99 for a MacLachlan-Sherilyn Fenn dual and $399.99 for MacLachlan signing solo. They aren't alone as there are nearly 30 active auctions over the $100 mark and plenty more above $50 a card. Boxes for the previous series included two autographs every time (unless it's a loaded Archive Box) and this new one does as well -- without a starting price tag in three-digits.

Previous boxes aren't that easy to land these days, though, as the series seems to have a very dedicated collector base shredding those that they can find and searching for key autos from the first series that could be rarer than 100 copies per signer, if that. This time around the key names are there but there are also some surprises. (There are some missing names, too, that still might pop up in a possible third series.) Among the signers here you could know from elsewhere include Robert Forster (Jackie Brown), David Koechner (Anchorman), Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), Michael Ontkean (Slap Shot), Richard Beymer (West Side Story) and Robin Lively (The Karate Kid Part III) to name a few.
