Nickname variations add new twist for 2018 Topps Heritage (all SP galleries are updating all week)

We've already revisited the 1969 Topps set for potential variations, but Topps has confirmed one that's not based on the past that will arrive in packs of 2018 Topps Heritage beginning on Wednesday.

It's a "Nickname variation" where a player's moniker replaces his team -- a move that we last saw in a similar way during Players Weekend last season when players wore nicknames on the backs of their jerseys.

These cards are still a bit of an unknown -- for a list and the odds -- but we do know the odds for a number of finds in those hobby boxes coming in two days.

Above are the hobby odds noting some of the things that will be found in those packs -- the Nicknames are not among them.

Below is the list of the Action variations (roughly one in every other box) that was disclosed by Topps on its previously released checklist (click here to view). We'll add more images to the gallery below (variations and interesting cards) and known cards as they begin arriving online here soon.
