Oklahoma State's Cade Cunningham signs with Panini America

Panini America has added a new point guard to its team.

Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham -- the likely No. 1 pick in this year's NBA Draft set for Thursday night -- signed an exclusive deal for cards and autographed cards which was revealed by the company on Tuesday.

“Cade took the collegiate basketball world by storm during his lone season at Oklahoma State, and we’re excited to be the exclusive source for his officially licensed trading cards and autograph trading cards,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop in a prepared release.

Cunningham put up 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Cowboys in a season that also included Freshman of the Year awards from the NABC and The Sporting News. He also was the Big 12 Player of the Year.

“I’m truly honored to be a part of the Panini America team in such a meaningful way,” Cunningham said. “They’re the best in the world at what they do and they’re the only ones I would entrust with creating my trading cards. I can’t wait to see what all they come up with.”

Cunningham already appears on Panini Instant cards and will have more following the draft. After those arrive, he will be found throughout the company's basketball card lineup.
