Pieces of the Past Hybrid Edition continues historic journey (check out a gallery & more)

Super Break's Pieces of the Past line has helped fans of history and pop culture take a trip through time with standard trading cards featuring presidents and other notables as well as some cardboard creations that are not the norm.

One example? Pieces of the Past Relics that use pieces of signed documents as a memorabilia swatch -- they're similar but different. They're definitely unusual and often also affordable -- but some can command good cash from interested collectors, too.

In previous editions, that lineup was bolstered by stamp cards, news clippings and other surprises but in its latest edition -- the Hybrid Edition -- those things can be found together on cards along with a number of other potential finds with three memorabilia cards in every box.

There are still cut autographs, plenty of presidents -- this time captured during sporting moments in their lives -- and other inserts to be found and this time around they're found multiple times per box.

This time, there are three base cards per box, one Pieces of The Past Relic (cut from a document), one In The News Relic (a clipping from an era newspaper or magazine), and one additional Relic. That lineup can include stamp cards, dual hybrid cards and more. Case purchases also will include a 1/1 promo bonus pack with all kinds of possibilities.

Among the combo stamps are John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Charlie Chaplin, Judy Garland and Amelia Earhart to name a few, while some of the Pieces of the Past Cards showcase Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Norman Rockwell and King Louis XIV among others.
