She's a star known worldwide for both fighting and other projects within pop culture. She's already wearing a WWE championship belt while regularly being part of its weekly TV shows. She's set to soon headline a women's-only pay-per-view event (also a first for WWE) but there have been two things missing from all of that for collectors and fans of Ronda Rousey.
A WWE Rookie Card and an official WWE certified autograph card.
Well, the wait is nearly over for both.
Rousey's first in-pack Rookie Card and certified autograph reflecting the newest chapter of her career arrives on Wednesday in packs of 2018 Topps WWE Women's Division, which drops with an autograph in every hobby box. They'll be her only cards in the product as well, which will add to the demand unlike other stars in that one who appear on a number of cards throughout the stars- and highlights-focused product. (Parallel cards are likely but the standard RC and an autograph are the only cards on the official checklist released by the company yesterday.)
Rousey's only other card appearances for WWE have been via Topps Now, though those are only available for 24 hours via Topps.com before they are never printed again and don't carry an RC logo. (They aren't RCs based on traditional definitions and their distribution format.)
She appears on more than 600 different trading cards from her MMA days and has nearly 200 different certified autograph cards (most low-volume releases). Her earliest autographs came back in 2012 Topps Finest and those have been consistent sellers for more than $600 lately (but have commanded more in the past), while asking prices on parallels and graded versions are strong. Her first WWE autos probably won't rival those, but they should be in strong demand among collectors of wrestling cards.
