Rui Hachimura signs autograph exclusive with Panini America

Panini America has a new team member.

Washington Wizards rookie Rui Hachimura has signed an exclusive autographed card and memorabilia deal with the company, according to an announcement reload on Wednesday.

“We’re truly honored to welcome Rui as the newest exclusive member of the Panini America family. He’s a unique part of the spectacular 2019 NBA Draft Class and a player whose international roots only strengthen the NBA’s reputation as a global game,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop. “Rui will be an integral part of our North American product and marketing efforts, but he’ll also help play a key role in our continued expansion internationally.”

Hachimura, who was the first Japanese-born player selected in the first round of the NBA Draft earlier this year, will appear in all card releases from the company as well as on its digital card app. There also will be autographed memorabilia pieces available from Panini Authentic, its memorabilia division.

The former Gonzaga star joins an exclusive roster that includes Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard and Ja Morant among others.
