Have you looked at your 2018 Bowman card backs yet?

We're a week into the release of the first prospecting baseball card brand of the year and there are a number of oddities to be discovered on the cards in this set ... if you choose to flip them over and read the "Up Close" blurbs.

One of the weirdest revelations -- one that will also appear on the back of his Superfractor auto if it's found (the $75,000 offer still stands, too) -- is the fact that Shohei Ohtani doesn't have a driver's license. (The fact that the modeled his hitting after Hideki Matsui isn't surprising given his first month in the majors.)

That's not the only weird fact on the backs of some 2018 Bowman baseball cards ...

Ozzie Albies (Card No. 62) My front-runner for surprise newcomer this year "cites chicken breasts and fish fillets as his favorite foods." Not only that, he's a fan of hip-hop artists Future and Young Thug -- and he also "aspires to visit Dubai someday."

Andrew Benintendi (No. 38) has 26 cousins, collects shoes and "treasures his Bass Pro Shops cap."

Cody Bellinger (No. 47) "typically eats organic meals but occasionally allows himself the occasional Big Mac" and also counts himself as a fan of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift who enjoys Call of Duty.

Byron Buxton (No. 54) "eats eight to 10 bags of Skittles per day."

Chris Sale (No. 94) "can eat as many cheeseburgers, steaks and tacos as he wants and not gain weight" and he also "slips predetermined vocabulary words (juxtapose, ameliorate, etc.) into postgame interviews."

Royce Lewis (No. BP93) did not have a driver's license when he was drafted, "eschews most social media" and personalizes his autographs given to fans.

Kyle Wright (No. BP14) "craves burrito bowls from Chipotle" and likes The Walking Dead. He also likes Kid Cudi, Gucci Mane and Billy Currington when it comes to music.

Hunter Greene (No. BP48) The No. 2 pick in last year's draft went to the same high school as Giancarlo Stanton.

Miguel Andujar (No. 75) wears a chain and pendant that remind him of his grandmother. His baseball idol is Adrian Beltre.

Cal Quantrill (No. BCP115) is a fan of Netflix's Stranger Things.

Nick Gordon (No. BCP49) admires Derek Jeter and created a hip-hop album called I Do It All under the name G-CINCO.

Dylan Cozens (No. BCP63) is a Mexican food enthusiast and didn't watch sports growing up.

Jeren Kendall (No. BCP23) is a Family Guy and House fan as well as a Matt Kemp fan. He played hockey in high school and "loves pizza."

Jason Martin (No. BCP41) is a Jay-Z fan and enjoys bass fishing.

Colton Welker (No. BCP39) went to the same high school as Anthony Rizzo (though Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School isn't mentioned by name).

Blayne Enlow (No. BCP141) loves him some Chick-fil-A, golf and the video game Fortnite.

Salvador Perez (No. 18) is a fan of international soccer and "sharpened hand-eye coordination swinging broomsticks at corn kernels pitched by his mother."

Corey Kluber (No. 3) is a Tin Cup and Game of Thrones fan, plays golf and also is a fan of country music star Eric Church.

Wil Myers (No. 27) is a "table tennis standout" who loves golden retrievers.

Chris Archer (No. 44) reads at least one book a month.

Francisco Lindor (No. 40) is an admitted fan of Taylor Swift and Daddy Yankee.

Michael Conforto (No. 93) is a fan of The Weeknd, J. Cole and Old School.

Greg Deichmann (No. BP45) is a sushi lover.

Jose Trevino (No. BP27) owns dogs named Dottie and Yadi.

Corey Ray (No. BP97) "enjoys dining at Red Lobster," is an avid reader and likes How I Met Your Mother.

Logan Allen (No. BP99) also counts himself as a Game of Thrones fan. The same goes for J.P. Crawford (No. 71).

Jordan Hicks (No. BP123) "gives thumbs up to film Get Out" and is a Kendrick Lamar fan. He's also a "frequent Chick-fil-A and Panera customer."

Harrison Bader (No. 42) is a coffee lover who admires Vladimir Guerrero and Alex Rodriguez.

Dominic Smith (No. 55) takes an Uber to the ballpark every day, says Superbad is his favorite movie, is a fan of Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr. And his nickname? Big Diesel.

Miguel Cabrera (No. 29) launched a new line of candies last year called Bitbits.

Kris Bryant (No. 100) is a country music fan who prefers Batman over Superman, avoids traveling on airplanes and boats whenever possible and he always orders fillet mignon if he can.

And that was just the highlights from an eight-pack blaster box ... I'm sure there are other gems just waiting to be found inside packs of 2018 Bowman.
