Sports Illustrated reprints regional college special issue to correct error

SIcorrection One of Sports Illustrated's regional covers for its 2015 College Football Playoff special issue will be reprinted after it misidentified the coach of the Michigan State Spartans.

Coach Mark Dantonio was incorrectly called Mike on the error version. A corrected version appears here.

Naturally, some collectors might wonder if there's a market for an error and variation combo like this.

Just like in cards, the answer is maybe -- it depends on whether there is one version much rarer than the other and whether people even care enough about the typo to even want both versions. It's pretty unusual for a magazine to reprint an issue, but these presumably have a bit longer shelf-life than the typical weekly edition of Sports Illustrated.

So far, only one seller on eBay is testing the market knowing that the error issues will soon be replaced with corrected ones. The asking price? Well, it's enough to buy a few issues.
