Super-rare Michael Jordan ticket stub hits auction block soon

Update: It sold for $33,600 back in August 2018.

Not all ticket stubs are the same -- and this one is far rarer than an iconic card in the hobby.

This Chicago Bulls stub from Oct. 26, 1984, hits the auction block late this month and it's one that could push the $10,000 mark according to Heritage Auctions.

Why?

It's the NBA debut for Michael Jordan -- you might have heard of him -- and he scored 16 points in this 109-93 win over the Washington Bullets on this night.

Well, that's one reason why it might command so much cash. The other? It's one of only six stubs from that game slabbed by PSA -- compared to more than 15,000 copies of high highly coveted 1986-87 Fleer Rookie Card. It's a piece so rare that this is the first time Heritage has handled the sale of one. The auction will open on July 27 and close during the overall sale's Aug. 18-19 finale.
