The resurgence of WNBA cards in pack form during the Panini America years is one that includes plenty to collect -- and all it takes at the current Black Friday prices is one key card to come out way ahead.
There are more autographs and rarities for the league's top superstars and legends of the past than perhaps ever before with all of the flash and dash on the court meeting the likes of Prizm, which commands top dollar for rarities unlike ever before, while that same kind of flash is also found as Optic inserts in the Donruss boxes above and then there's the intergalactic feel of Revolution ... and that's not even all of the options in the sale.
But a late-breaking development from Blowout HQ has perhaps the biggest WNBA deal of 'em all coming up later today.
How big? The 10-box cases of 2023 Panini Origins WNBA (regularly $1,250 a pop) will drop for a cool price -- hit the link -- as an extra-big option for WNBA fans on this shopping day of all shopping days.
Those include three autographs or memorabilia cards in every box (at least 30 per case) and are among the newest way to land top talents in their new looks as well as new cards of past and present stars.
So, how well are WNBA stars selling on rarities?
Well, a 1/1 Origins A'Ja Wilson logowoman autographed card recently sold for, well, almost six cases at the sale price ($2,750).
The fascinating part is that's far from the lone big sale from the league this year. Just among recent eBay sales, there are more than 60 instances of cards selling for $400 or more ... now compare that to the box prices up top. Prizm, as always, is powerful but Origins also has some stuff that might not have been seen before by fans ready to add them to their collections.
Once more boxes get ripped even more big sales can and will happen.

If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales have arrived this year.
The fourth wave is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

NOW'S THE TIME ...
2022 Panini Prizm WWE wrestling cards hobby boxes
This one is an important release for wrestling card collectors since it was the first Panini America WWE set and it's one that is absolutely loaded with actual Rookie Cards for a bunch of new NXT 2.0 and NXT UK stars who didn't have any previous cardboard at all as well as most of the biggest names of the past and present -- all in one spot, all on one checklist and all with rainbows of parallels. Throw in autographs and a boatload of color and inserts and there's big potential here. The Prizm investor crowd here certainly pumped these up big-time as there is big potential here the rarest stuff ... but the box prices have dropped heavily since release. Why? There's supply for everything available here -- for now -- and that volume of singles, parallels (a deep rainbow on every card and plenty of retail and hobby boxes, too) couldn't keep up with the volume of buyers if you take away the flippers. It remains the same solid release that it was when the boxes were three times the price ... but now it's a more reasonable rip. If you land big stuff you're probably still OK -- maybe more ahead vs. the past -- but if you're a collector this might be closer to the price point where it's more do-able.Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).

Fast Five: Big-sale boxes I'd consider ripping right now

This one is a new department here on The Buzz ... Fast Five -- a quick list under a simple topic that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection. It's a basic list of five items that could be fun for a starting collector or a new way to add to a stash that might already seemingly include everything when it comes to cardboard. For some of you, it's probably common sense. For others of you out there, it's perhaps something to ponder.
This time? Five boxes in the big sale that I'm considering digging into right now.
RETRO-STYLED HIGH-END MLB
Buzz doesn't really rip a lot of high-end boxes -- I go for the safety of volume value since I'm generally not a re-seller at all -- but this one in the big sale (the only box of my picks over $60 on this list) is one that has a combo that you don't see a boatload of these days ... a retro aesthetic with high-end potential. Boxes of 2019 Topps Brooklyn Collection MLB include seven cards -- two autographs, two parallels and three base cards -- all on thick stock with styles from the past but never used. All five of the parallel sets are /75 or less with just 50 cards in the base set (simple enough to chase via singles). The auto list is 79 with four parallels per card with names that include Hall of Famers and past/present stars. It's a mix that includes Derek Jeter, Hank Aaron, Ichiro Suzuki, Bryce Harper, Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto, Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Trout, Ronald Acuña Jr., Sandy Koufax, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and many more. Only two autos per box might make landing these notables tougher ... but they are in there.Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.

First Buzz previews are by far our most-popular pieces here on The Buzz and they are a simple way of looking back at everything that was teased and arrived in 2019. Here's a recap of everything that was previewed -- nearly 300 products -- all in one spot.
Keep in mind that a number of 2019 releases were announced before the calendar changed -- but even those can be found by clicking here and doing some digging. And the latter portion of the listing to come are actually a preview of what's to come soon ... so even if you're not in the look-back mood you can certainly look forward to 2020 right here, too.
