The 37th National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and, while Atlantic City, N.J., will be the center of the collecting universe, we have to note that the BlowoutCards.com booth (No. 1,220) will be the epicenter of the show at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and the months of preparation are culminating in the show of all shows for sports collectors the next five days in Atlantic City, N.J.

There will be plenty to see, plenty to do and plenty to buy and Buzz has been watching the developments the whole way. Details are still to come for the Beckett Covers card set at this year's National Sports Collectors Convention that kicks off a week from today in Atlantic City, N.J., but BlowoutCards.com will have things covered in a deluxe way for those attempting to collect 'em all.

The card only available at the Blowout booth will be a limited edition double-sided card featuring two of the top rookies in two leagues -- the NFL's No. 2 draft pick and future Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz on the front and the NBA's No. 1 pick Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers on the back.

Ben Simmons has a new team besides the Philadelphia 76ers.

The No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft out of LSU has joined Upper Deck as an exclusive signer for both trading cards and memorabilia.

Terms of the deal were not announced, but it was called a multi-year agreement by the company and his first autographed card appearance will appear in 2016 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions.

"We are pleased to welcome Ben Simmons to Upper Deck's world-renowned roster of NBA greats and look forward to providing his fans around the world with the most innovative and authentic collectibles available on the market," said Jason Masherah, President of Upper Deck.
