Panini America's latest collegiate brand arrives this week with some high-end touches that offer up the school colors with the big-league feel.

The brand is 2016 Panini Immaculate Collection Collegiate and, while these football cards aren't cheap, they do offer top names from the past and present on both autograph and memorabilia fronts.

The 37th National Sports Collectors Convention is nearly here and, while Atlantic City, N.J., will be the center of the collecting universe, we have to note that the BlowoutCards.com booth (No. 1,220) will be the epicenter of the show at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

We're a day away from the Pro Football Hall of Fame revealing its 2016 class of inductees, and there's been plenty said about a group that includes Brett Favre, Ken Stabler, Terrell Davis, Terrell Owens and other finalists as the hours click down to Saturday night.

And that's when there will be even more said.

But Buzz was wondering about college ties for the big names this year and noticed something else -- many of the candidates come from big schools with a number of Hall of Famers already enshrined. That got Buzz thinking about which schools have the most players in Canton -- and whether this year's class might shake things up in the record book.

Buzz is a collector with varying tastes -- one where there's definitely not one focus but many.

It's a blessing and a curse.

When one favorite player isn't playing well or is off the mental radar, the collection doesn't suffer -- the focus turns elsewhere. And then, sometimes, there are just cards that pop up because they are interesting.

Panini America's recently released Immaculate Collection College set and the upcoming National Treasures College edition are packed with singles on Buzz's radar because they show something we haven't seen before -- or at least not a lot of -- in the hobby. One example? A Rafael Palmeiro Mississippi State autograph like the one above that's coming in National Treasures. It's not that Buzz cares one bit about the Bulldogs or even Palmeiro, but the 1985 season where MSU had Will Clark and Palmeiro, aka "Thunder and Lightning," is one that's pretty significant in college baseball lore. And since college baseball is something we haven't historically seen a lot of on cardboard (other than new prospects awaiting their pro colors) that makes a card like this interesting.

This photo was selected by collectors and it even has a fun sign of 2015 -- the fan showing off a photo on her phone in the background.

Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston's autographs will be found in a series of memorabilia pieces being offered by Upper Deck Authenticated.

The division of Upper Deck revealed The James Winston Collection on Monday.

The No. 1 pick in this year's draft has signed both Buccaneers memorabilia as well as Florida State Seminoles items. He led FSU to the BCS title game last season and has thrown for 3,059 yards and 18 touchdowns so far as a rookie this season.

NCAA baseball has always been a bit of the odd one out when it comes to the major sports' cardboard as the best MLB players are often drafted out of high school.

Unlike football and basketball, where we have seen college teams on cards en masse for years, college baseball wasn't really at the forefront for baseball brands.

The arrival of 2015 Panini Contenders from Panini America changes that a bit as it's a prospect brand loaded with college colors. Sure, there are MLB prospects found inside who are already in the minors or guys who were signed internationally or out of high school, but there are many NCAA logos we haven't seen a lot of on baseball cards as draft picks sets have exploded in the hobby since the 1990s.

What's buzz-worthy: National Treasures arrives for the college ranks "with something for every college fan," according to the company. More than 500 players will appear in this hit-driven high-end brand all in their college colors. There will be a mix of players from the past and present from baseball, football, basketball and notable college coaches, too.

Panini America's perennial power called its Black Friday pack promotion is coming soon and the company teased a few more of its planned cardboard on Tuesday.

A pair of sets will be found in collectors' premium packs awarded for hobby shop and online purchases during Black Friday -- one being College Legends and the other spotlighting Rated Rookies.

Autographed chin strap cards -- they've never been done before, but they're coming in 2015 Immaculate Collection College, which was revealed this week and is coming in December from Panini America.

Packing just seven cards per box -- five of those being autographs or memorabilia -- this brand will include stars from several sports on cards that might not have been seen before and all are done using NCAA team logos and colors. One cool example? A memorabilia card of Tony Gwynn the basketball star at San Diego State.
