Sure, this one's listed as a baseball set with that World Series-dominating guy, David Price, on the box from back when he was fresh off the Vanderbilt field, but this one has a lot of other surprises that makes it one to definitely consider as it celebrates the college game with a number of other inclusions that were helping shape a different card landscape back then that we see a little more familiarly today in a number of directions. Notable ink found here includes Price, Madison Bumgarner, Josh Donaldson, Corey Kluber, Jake Arrieta, Dellin Betances, Jerry Tarkanian, Don Haskins, Rick Majerus, Rollie Massimino, Ara Parseghian, Dale Brown, Dean Smith, Gene Keady, Jim Boeheim, Steve Spurrier, Tom Osborne, Vince Dooley, Jennie Finch, Rebecca Lobo, Brandi Chastain, Bill Walton, Dominique Wilkins, Summer Sanders and a number of other college stars and coaches in a few sports who don't have a lot of cardboard. The clock is ticking down and the cardboard is ready.

Saturday is Topps National Baseball Card Day and whether you're a regular at your local card shop or you're somebody who ripped into packs just for the gum decades ago, some free stuff can be yours at participating shops.

"National Baseball Card Day is a great way to celebrate a hobby we love, showing off favorite cards and reveling in great collections," read a company statement for the program.

The annual event is one that Topps and others hopes will draw people into collecting with some new stuff to start their stash -- or for veterans to chase down some potential rarities inside the five-card packs that are free with a visit. There's also a bonus card available with a $10 purchase on Saturday -- and another bonus card after that for you if you go back to the shop later in the month.

As the clock counts down to the MLB All-Star break, the countdown clock ticks for a number of Topps Now All-Star offerings, too.

They come with and without autographs on the set side and they come with a bonus offer for the set for those in the MLB All-Star Home Run Derby -- and they're all available now for a limited time initially only via Topps.com.

There are eight set options for the MLB All-Star Game's participants alone with a nine-card American League set, an eight-card National League set, a 25-card NL reserves set and a 24-card AL reserves set. The starters are $29.99 a pop, while the reserves are $59.99. There are autographed versions of all sets (one auto per set) with prices from $99.99 to $199.99 due to the rosters of guaranteed signers seeded into them.
