If you're near The Fantastic Store, then you need to mark your calendar.

An upcoming Saturday -- Oct. 22 -- at the shop will be the Chantilly Card Show Trade Night where collectors can converge to make deals in the midst of football season and in the midst of the Chantilly Card Show itself, which runs from Oct. 21-23 at the Dulles Expo Center.

The Fantastic Store is located at 14508 Lee Rd Unit F in Chantilly, Va., and its regular Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- but this one will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the Trade Night event.

It was a fantastic sight at Blowout Cards - The Fantastic Store on Wednesday as a holy grail of gaming walked in the door.

What you see here is a Pokémon Base Set 1st Edition Booster Box that's the home of the debut card for Charizard, a rarity that in top graded condition on its own sells for six figures. It's a card where celebs Logic and Logan Paul own and chase their own copies -- coughing up plenty for them just earlier this month.

Over on Blowout's Most Wanted where we're buying many types of these boxes, it's a monster, too. These boxes that only started arriving in the U.S. market in 1999 are as big as it gets with their own six-figure buying price. Click that link for the latest ... but as Buzz types this it's a cool $300,000. It's also not alone as there are other boxes commanding thousands ... and we're paying.

Why is there so much demand? Well, countless Pokémon boxes got ripped to sell as packs -- so sealed boxes are rare. And the rarest cards are even harder to find in top condition because, well, people played the game. For those who like to grade cards, there's hope that one of those monster cards is perhaps hiding inside ... but leaving the boxes sealed is also a safe long-term investor move. It's arguably a perfect storm.

The Item: An uncut sheet of 1986-87 Fleer basketball cards
The Price: $709 after 24 bids (with just two days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I've not heard of entire sheets being counterfeited but with the Michael Jordan Rookie Card (heavily faked) you never know ... but what we do know with this one is that it's not perfect but an uncut sheet with this card and this landmark set is impressive. The back of the sheet suffers from massive red ink staining so that's probably why the sheet wasn't cut and put into packs. What kind of other flaws might there be? It's not clear based on the auction images, but it generally looks pretty good on the front and it's the kind of cool impressive piece to frame and display for not only its Jordan presence but every other Hall of Famer Rookie Card that's on it. (It's not worth professional cutting with the back staining.) This one is dirt cheap right now but could go crazy before it ends.

Topps National Baseball Card Day is this Saturday -- and it's a day to make some memories. That's exactly what collector/blogger Ben Aguirre Jr. got when he took his kids, Alexa (age 7) and Antonio (age 5) to South Bay Sports Cards in Sunnyvale, Calif., last year.

Today's the day -- it's Topps National Baseball Card Day.

Now is your chance at some free baseball cards that you won't find anywhere else other than at your local card shop. That's because today is an annual event that helps draw new fans into the hobby and gives veteran collectors some new stuff to check out.

There are six-card packs of NBCD baseball cards available free with a visit to a participating store, while a $10 purchase will yield a Mike Trout bonus card. The full checklist for this promotion can be seen here -- spoiler -- and it includes Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper and Carlos Correa autographs in some packs. (Topps also will be using the hashtag #ToppsBaseballCardDay on social media for those who go and want to show off their new baseball cards, too.)
