Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles return to Topps cardboard

Turtle Power is coming back to cardboard.

Topps revealed on Friday that it has a new deal with Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to trading cards

According to Topps, the first release will be a limited set called The Art of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles featuring comic book images from the past. It also will include new art from the famous artists from the franchise and will arrive this summer with sketch cards. Also to be found will be autographed cards from artists Michael Dooney, Jim Lawson and Steve Lavigne among others.

The first Topps TMNT cards came back in 1989 with stickers and then cards for the cartoon series. It also had a presence for its early films in the 1990s.
