Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud? You decide ... here's Chapter 15

With these Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud stories I'm turning just a tiny bit of that energy just a few degrees away from cards (we'll still have plenty of them here) for a different kind of cardboard. What am I doing? Simple ... this is an occasional dip into some random ticket lots -- a show and tell showing something small with a story.

This time? An NFL rivalry that we'll see this weekend.

THE DETAILS ...
The Category: Pro Football
The Event: Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys -- Dec. 24, 2011
The Results: Eagles 20, Cowboys 7
The Attendance: 84,834 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas
The Face: $79
The Cost (for me): Literal pocket change as part of a lot.

The Ticket Studs (Key Players): Eagles QB Michael Vick -- 18-for-32 for 293 yards and two TDs
Others: TDs from Eagles' Jeremy Maclin and Brent Celek; Cowboys QB Stephen McGee with a TD to Miles Austin a lone highlight there

What's Buzz-worthy: With these rivals playing this weekend, I figured I'd pull this one from the box. The box score here is pretty uneventful even with the big names. Tony Romo went down with a hand injury in the opening series of the game and from a collecting standpoint nobody else here really matters today. This game ended up being the biggest game and final game of his NFL career in terms of playing. Aesthetically, the ticket looks decent with the overall look but it certainly doesn't carry any kind of "Big D" vibe at all. For all of the NFL tickets I've got in my stash, this one is perhaps the least-impressive of anything that's not the mundane Ticketmaster variety. It's clean enough it might be worth some ink ... but one still could find better items. Neither team made the postseason here, either.

Stud or Dud? Big rivalry? Sure. Big ticket? Not really.
