Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud? You decide ... here's Chapter 21

With these Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud stories I'm turning just a tiny bit of that energy just a few degrees away from cards (we'll still have plenty of them here) for a different kind of cardboard. What am I doing? Simple ... this is an occasional dip into some random ticket lots -- a show and tell showing something small with a story.

This time? A college football rout from not that long ago.

The Cost (for me): Pocket change as part of a bulk lot

The Ticket Studs (Key Players): Sooners QB Trevor Knight 20-for-33 for 308 yards and a TD as well as five carries for 17 yards and a TD
Others: Oklahoma RB Keith Ford with a rushing and receiving TD (91 total yards), Oklahoma WR Sterling Shepard five catches for 109 yards; Tennessee QB Justin Worley 21-for-44 for 201 yards and a TD

What's Buzz-worthy: First, I saw the names on this one and pulled it out of the box -- that's good -- and I was initially thinking this was perhaps a Baker Mayfield game but, no, this was the year before his arrival on the field. This one was a strong game from the QB who moved on once he arrived. So ... not as good. However, the appearances here of Sam Bradford and Adrian Peterson on the same ticket along with some nice embossed design touches (think Action Packed) and then a big and bold (though still under control) design on an oversized ticket make this one an aesthetic winner ... just like the team that day.

Stud or Dud? The names in the box score probably aren't a big deal now at the next level but I like the look of this piece and it could be a nice ticket signed by either past star here. I give this one Ticket Stud status vs. a lot of ones I have seen ... it would have been a monster ticket on the field had it been for the double-overtime win crafted by Mayfield the year after.
