Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud? You decide ... here's Chapter 7

With these Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud stories I'm turning just a tiny bit of that energy just a few degrees away from cards (we'll still have plenty of them here) for a different kind of cardboard. What am I doing? Simple ... this is an occasional dip into some random ticket lots -- a show and tell showing something small with a story.

This time? We fast-forward to football season after today's big NFL trade.

The Event: Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns  -- Aug. 23, 2018 (preseason game)
The Results: Browns 5, Eagles 0
The Attendance: N/A (67,431 capacity)
The Face: $76
The Cost (for me): Literal pocket change as part of a lot.

The Ticket Studs (Key Players): Browns rookie QB Baker Mayfield (8-for-12 for 76 yards, one interception) and Browns rookie RB Nick Chubb (14 carries for 76 yards) in the third career preseason game for both
Others: Eagles QB Nick Foles (13-for-17 for 127 cards, two interceptions)

What's Buzz-worthy: I found this one in my bulk lot and figured today would be the day to pop this up here as the Baker Mayfield stint in Cleveland has come to a likely end (pending physical) with his trade to the Carolina Panthers. The only scoring here was a safety from Myles Garrett (no career regular season safeties) and then a field goal from Zane Gonzalez. This was the team's second home game that preseason and third of four overall -- three wins -- before a rookie year for Mayfield and Chubb that was respectable by recent Browns standards. As I note below in my final thoughts, this one looks good but for NFL ticket standards this is a no-frills piece -- almost all NFL tickets I have (admittedly not a lot) feature even more design touches like embossing or players that make them a little more visual than this one. Overall, though, some good names linked to this one.

Stud or Dud? Visually, I like this one -- some nice design touches that say "Cleveland" for sure -- and I like the attached rookies. Ticket is a Stud ... but that game was a dud.
