Topps celebrates 150 years of baseball with new online set

This season marks the 150th for professional baseball in America and Topps will be taking us through the history books via baseball cards all year long via a new weekly offering.

It's the 2019 Topps 150 Years of Baseball set and it will be offered every week via Topps.com.

Cards will be available for $7.99 apiece and be printed to order after a one-week window. There are quantity discounts available (up to 20 cards for $74.99) and bundles of three cards for $14.99.

Among the subsets in this one will be Historic Moments, Records and Award-winners, Rookie Campaigns and Artist Renditions and they'll arrive every Tuesday via Topps.com. The first three cards include one of the biggest bats from the past, one of the biggest arms of the past and one of the biggest stars of today.

Update (March 19): Topps has introduced autographs into the mix with Cal Ripken Jr. cards leading the way. There are six versions available -- Blue (/99), Green (/49), Purple (/25), Red (/10), Orange (/5) and 1/1 Gold. Prices range from $99.99 to $999.99.
