Topps offers exclusive cardboard in 582 Montgomery Club

It's Topps' new exclusive membership club where collectors who sign up get a crack at new cardboard inspired by the company's earlier days in Brooklyn.

"Members will receive exclusive benefits that are not available to the general public, including trading card products featuring recently discovered lost designs from our Brooklyn facility," reads a description for the program. "There will be new products sent to members six times per year, and the exclusive opportunity to purchase the highest-end trading card release ever offered on Topps.com."

For $199.99, you get a membership set with an autographed card soon after sign-up and then five more products throughout the 2018-19 year. That first perk will include one set of 20 cards with an autograph. The others will include two 20- to 30-card sets with the players voted on by members and another set of 20-30 cards with an auto. Also to be had will be one set of 20 card-sized stickers and one compete set of Topps cards with a 582 Montgomery stamp.

Members also will get the "exclusive right" to buy the 2018 Brooklyn Collection on Topps.com, which it tabs as the "highest-end release ever offered on Topps.com" and one that will include multiple on-card autos from "the biggest stars of MLB."
