Topps teases more surprises to come in Topps Now program

Screen-Shot-2016-06-16-at-10.35.31-AM Ten collectors who recently purchased card No. 100 in Topps' real-time card program, Topps Now, were surprised to find a certified autograph version of the Brandon Crawford card that they ordered instead of a regular one.

It wasn't an accident.

The company confirmed those cards on Thursday and noted that the surprise inclusion won't be the last one for the program that has generated plenty of buzz this summer with cards of notable newcomers like Trevor Story and viral phenoms like Bartolo Colon's first career homer.

"Topps wanted to add a surprise for some who bought card No. 100 in the series," read an announcement by the company. "There was no guarantee as to who the card was going to be since the moments are numbered based on when they happen. Are there other surprises planned for collectors of Topps Now? Definitely, and maybe even very soon."
