Vladimir Guerrero Jr. signs exclusive with Topps Authentics

Baseball's biggest rookie has signed with a new team -- at least for autographed memorabilia.

Topps announced that Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has signed with Topps Authentics, making it the exclusive home for his newly signed items.

“We are thrilled to add Vladimir Guerrero Jr., as one of our exclusive athletes with our memorabilia line, Topps Authentics,” said David Leiner, Topps Global GM of Sports & Entertainment. “He is exactly the type of player and person who embodies Topps with his great athletic ability, perseverance and excitement that he brings to the field every day. We are proud to partner with baseball’s next rising star and give fans an opportunity to be closer to the game.”

Autographed jerseys, bats, baseballs and photos will be the start of what's to come in this multi-year deal for the reigning Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year and consensus No. 1 prospect in the game heading into the last two seasons. In nine big-league games, he's hitting just .152 but has five hits and a double in 33 at-bats.

“I’m proud to partner with Topps, a company that puts players first and has amazing heritage in baseball,” said the 20-year-old son of the Hall of Famer and former Montreal Expos star. “I’m excited to give fans access to my game-used memorabilia.”

No game-used items are yet up for grabs, but signed baseballs open the array of options at $149.99, while a baseball inscribed "Go Blue Jays" is $199.99. Signed caps are $199.99, while a signed name-model Louisville Slugger is $299.99 among the initial offerings that actually arrived on the memorabilia line's section of the site shortly after his MLB debut on April 26.

Shohei Ohtani, Gleyber Torres and Francisco Lindor are among other Topps Authentics signers.
