Who's signing for 2018 Topps Heritage? Here's an early look ...

We're about a week away from the arrival of 2018 Topps Heritage, which gives us a trip back to 1969 this season and that means one thing -- a peek at the checklist.

We'll start with the autographs and there will be a mix of past and present names signing for this one, including a number of rookies.

Among the standard autos? Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski, Al Kaline, Hank Aaron, Johnny Bench, Orlando Cepeda, Jim Palmer, Lou Brock, Nolan Ryan, Rod Carew, Steve Carlton and Reggie Jackson, who will also have Rookie Card buyback autos in these packs with his RC coming back in 1969.

Among the newcomers?

As previously seen here on The Buzz, Angels newcomer Shohei Ohtani will lead off the rookie presence here and he'll be joined by Amed Rosario, Clint Frazier, Rafael Devers and Victor Robles to name a few among the 18 RC autos here. MLB veterans of note with standard autos will include Anthony Rizzo, Carlos Correa, Kris Bryant, Manny Machado and Mike Trout.

Autographed Clubhouse Collection Relics will include Aaron Judge, Rizzo, Correa, Clayton Kershaw, Joey Votto, Bryant, Machado, Trout and more, while dual auto Relics will include pairings of Bench-Votto, Byron Buxton-Carew, Jackson-Rickey Henderson, Jackson-Judge and Brooks Robinson-Machado. There also will be several dual and triple autos with similar pairings an among them will be a triple with Derek Jeter, Jackson and Judge as well as a triple with Ryan, Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard.

Flashback Auto Relics will include Kaline, Yaz, Aaron, Bench, Palmer, Brock, Ryan, Phil Niekro, Carew, Jackson and Carlton, while several members of the 1969 Seattle Pilots will get autos here many for the first time. The most-notable player of that crop might be Ball Four author Jim Bouton, who has had plenty of ink in the past but perhaps not like this.

As for variations, the Action cards are known and it's a group leading off with Ohtani on card No 17 -- he's not on that standard card -- and then there will be cards of Harper, Judge, Rosario, Jose Altuve, Corey Seager, Bryant, Andrew Benintendi, Machado, Devers, Rhys Hoskins, Trout, Kershaw, Robles and more.

The high-number base cards will once again start with card No. 400 and the notables among those ranks include Todd Frazier as a New York Yankee but not a lot of the biggest names, which should make for better rips. There will be shared Rookie Cards just like in 1969 with Dominic Smith and Amed Rosario sharing one, Clint Frazier and Miguel Andujar sharing another. Other groupings of note include Kyle Martin and Rafael Devers, Rhys Hoskins and Nick Williams, Victor Robles and Andrew Stevenson, Ozzie Albies and Lucas Sims.

Among the News Flashbacks of note here? The Apollo 11 moon landing, Woodstock, The Beatles, The Brady Bunch and even Sesame Street's debut.

Last but not least the cut auto lineup will include both players and celebs of note back then -- Roberto Clemente, Roger Maris, Curt Flood and Gil Hodges to name a few among the players and then Brian Wilson, Arthur Ashe, Louis Armstrong, Leonard Nimoy, Paul Newman, Sean Connery, Sammy Davis Jr. and William Shatner among the celebs.
