What's Buzz-worthy: This autograph-per-pack release is solely about Rookie Cards and it was a retail-only release with a rather basic format save for some really rare short-printed base card variations and parallels. The front of the box here should show you who might not be that big of a deal here five years later -- that's football for you sometimes -- but it's a crop with Jimmy Garoppolo, Derek Carr, Khalil Mack, James White, Eric Ebron, Brandin Cooks, Aaron Donald, Blake Bortles, Johnny Manziel, Devonta Freeman, Teddy Bridgewater, Sammy Watkins, Allen Robinson, A.J. McCarron, Jeremy Hill and Odell Beckham Jr. to name a few. Autos for the top names are also tougher pulls, so there can still be some decent value here if you get lucky -- Aaron Donald's 1/1 Black auto recently sold for $650. The stock here can make these cards a bit condition sensitive but the good news is that you can typically find it for less than its original price of $19.99. The feel of these is definite retro, which is one reason I like it. If I ripped football a little more heavily, this is a brand I'd consider doing in bulk to chase some of those bigs a little more easily. The small base set also is do-able here on the affordable side.
